Hello little campers! Lily Loveday here! Have you ever gotten really messed up in the head because you couldn't figure out who you were suppose to be?
Maybe it is someone you are expected to be. I remember one time I lost the soccer game for the whole team because I tripped over my shoe laces. I was expected to be a great player for the team and all I wanted to do is hide under a rock. I felt like I was supposed to be this awesome soccer player that everyone expected me to be. Unfortunately I wasn't sure that is who I wanted to be. Of course then there is also the different crowds in school and who is cool to hang out with and what it means if you wear these particular clothes or if you don't do this then you are not accepted by the people surrounding you. Times can be tough when you are trying to be who YOU are suppose to be. Parents and friends can help a little, but are not inside your head where all the confusion can sometimes occur. I am so thankful that God is there for us, because he takes a lot of the pressure away. Once I realized that Lily Loveday is going to be who God wants her to be and Lily Loveday is going to do what God wants her to do, things were a lot clearer. Were they easier? No way. But worrying about what people think about me and stressing over who I am is thrown aside when God is driving the bus. The Bible tells us that God gives each of us gifts individually. Everyday he is molding me in to who I am suppose to be and I am doing his good works to make a difference in other people's lives. Remember that when you belong to God, you can make a difference.....and that is the bottom line.
See ya later gators!
